Preparedness

1. Make sure that there are at least two evacuation routes from the facility
2. Post evacuation route in noticeable locations throughout the facility
3. Include local law enforcement and first responders during training exercises
4. Encourage law enforcement, emergency responders, special weapons and tactics (SWAT) teams, K-9 teams, and bomb squads to train for an active shooter scenario at your location

2. Be aware of signs of potential workplace violence and take corrective measures
